Description
ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Winter Dream Hood is the perfect cozy accessory for cold winters in the city. I designed this hood to keep your neck warm and to give that effortless cute look, whether you’re strolling through snowy streets or just layering up for the day. What I love most about this hood is its versatility—you can wear it with the hood up for extra warmth or simply let it sit around your neck as a stylish neckwarmer. The fit isn’t too tight around your head, so it feels comfy and relaxed while still looking chic.
Winter Dream Hood Pattern Features:
- City Winter Essential: Perfect for keeping cozy on chilly days without sacrificing style.
- Cute, Relaxed Fit: The hood isn’t too tight, so it frames your face beautifully while keeping you comfy.
- Versatile Wear: Easily switch between wearing it as a hood or a neckwarmer.
- Beginner-Friendly Instructions: Step-by-step guidance in a detailed PDF, written in U.S. standard crochet terms.
- Sustainable Materials: Made with a soft blend of merino wool and mohair for warmth and eco-conscious style.
YARN AND MATERIALS
For this project, I used 1 strand of Cascade 220 Superwash Merino (Approx. Yardage: 200 m) and 1 strand of Drops Kid-Silk uni-color mohair (Approx. Yardage: 200 m), both in red.
GAUGE
Granny Square Gauge: Using Cascade 220 yarn and a 4.5mm hook, a basic granny square should measure approximately 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm) after 4 rounds. Adjust your hook size if your square is larger or smaller.
Neck Section Gauge: For the ribbed single crochet stitch, the gauge is approximately 11-12 stitches and 14-15 rows = 5 x 5 cm.
