ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Pernille Top is worked from the top down in Loop Stitch. It is knitted in the round on circular needles. First work the chest band, then the body. In the end, create two braids for the straps and sew them onto the top.
This pattern incorporates techniques like double stranding, provisional cast-on and Loop Stitch in the round. It is suitable for advanced beginner to intermediate skill levels.

Measure your own chest circumference to determine which size will fit you the best.
MEASUREMENTS
The Pernille Top is designed to have approx. 28 cm of positive ease measured along the bottom of the top. Meaning the fit should be approx. 28 cm larger in circumference than your actual bust measurements.
In summary, the chest band will be fitted to your size thanks to the elastic, and the bottom portion will be approx. 28 cm wider than your bust circumference.
The measurements are indicated on the diagram on page 4.

YARNS AND MATERIALS
Approx. 200 (200) 250 (250) 300 (300) 350 (350) 400 (400) 450 g of Baby Doll from Phildar (40% Cotton, 60% Polyamid, 50g = 150 m)
Circular needles 3 or 3.5 mm (80 cm)
Circular needles 4 mm [US 6 / UK 8] (80 cm)
Circular needles 5.5 mm [US 9 / UK 5] (80 cm)
Crochet Hook 4 mm [US G-6 / UK 8]
Elastic band 0.5 mm
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
13 stitches x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm in loop stitch in double stranding on needle size 5.5 mm.
Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above. Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
