ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Maxine Hat is worked from the top down. The crown is crocheted, while the brim is knitted. Begin with a magic ring and crochet in spiral rounds until the crown is complete. Then, knit the brim in the round in stockinette stitch. Seam the brim with a tapestry needle, and use a crochet hook to add decorative lines on the top of the hat.

The Maxine Hat is available in adult size (55 -58 cm)
YARNS AND MATERIALS
Approx. 100 g of Pingo Mohair from PINGUOIN (50 g = 270 m),
Color: Rouge Flamme.
Circular needles 3,5 mm [ 80 mm ]
Crochet Hook 2,5 mm (to work the decorative lines)
Crochet Hook 4 mm

Tapestry needle

The swatch below are shown without blocking.
As the upper part of the hat is hooked, it does not need to be blocked.
CROCHET PART:
19 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm in single crochet, crochet hook 4 mm, 2 strands of yarn held together.
KNITTED HEM:
17 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm stockinette stitch on needle size 3,5 mm, 2 strands of yarn held together.
