WHO ARE YOU?
My name is Esther and I am an artist and knitwear designer from Paris. 

The thing I love the most is creating things with my hand. I have always been drawing, collaging, sewing or making stuff for as long as I can remember. That is why I decided to go to art school, become an artist and now spend everyday in my atelier. 

When I discovered knitting I became obsessed instantly and couldn’t put my needles down. Once the frustration of the first few messy rows passed I dived into garment knitting and started learning all the new techniques. After a while I wanted to include knitting into my professional life and decided to start creating and selling patterns. I am still at the beginning of that journey and it is always so special to me when someone shares their version of my designs and makes it their own.

It all started because I was looking for patterns for specific garments I wanted to knit but couldn’t find what I wanted. After a year of knitting other designers patterns I decided to challenge myself to start designing my own and get more involved into the knitting process. I am still learning a lot with each design and I love discovering new techniques and solving technical issues in the construction. 

I am always figuring out what my style is and what I like to design, knit and wear. However I would say that my style is pretty casual but I try to include very neat finishes and details in the garments that truly make a difference. 

There is nothing worse than realizing you are not wearing something you spent hours and hours working on. That is why I strive to design functional and wearable pieces. I hope you will enjoy knitting them as much as I do.
