WHO ARE YOU?
Hey, I’m Simona, a knitter from Lithuania. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been making something. Throughout my life, especially during my teenage years, I had many activities, but crafting was the one constant. Whether it was knitting, crocheting, beading, embroidering, sewing, macramé, or anything else available to me, I was always curious and eager to create. This passion came entirely from within, as no one in my environment was doing the same things I was.

Fast forward to today, after pursuing an engineering career for a while, I finally bit the bullet this year. I left my engineering job and started growing my knitwear brand full-time. It feels like a full-circle moment for me – I’m now dedicating myself completely to my most fulfilling childhood interest. My dream was not only to create a knitwear brand but also to live differently – slower, gentler, more mindfully, and more present. I am incredibly grateful to be able to pursue this dream.

lowkey.bold.knit is a true extension of my own aesthetic – simple, neat, symmetric, almost classic, yet interesting and eye-catching. The name of the brand sums it up pretty well, in my humble opinion. I love experimenting with garment construction – always looking for new or underutilized ways to bring my sketches to life. My test knitters often tell me they learn a lot from my patterns, and that is the highest compliment I could receive.

As a designer, finishing and details are extremely important to me. I always make sure to include techniques that achieve the neatest result. Since knitting is a relaxing activity for many people, I also consider the process and the thought involved when knitting one of my designs – I aim to make the experience engaging without being frustrating. Even though my patterns are more intermediate level, I promise to hold your hand through it all, not only in the pattern itself but also through emails, if you need me.
