Meet Katharina – a Normandy native turned Parisian for a decade and now a sun-soaked resident in the South for nine years. She’s the easygoing creator who loves indulging in delicious eats, sharing laughter, taking leisurely strolls with Leon, embracing nature, and, above all, cherishing love. As a homebody and design enthusiast, she infuses her passion for DIY and decoration into every stitch.
Katharina’s journey into knitting started with crochet, learned from her mother and grandmother. In 2015, a serendipitous meeting with her partner’s sister and mother introduced her to the world of knitting. Starting with patterns for family and friends, Katharina’s frustration with the lack of perfect patterns led her to venture into designing. And thus, Le Pull was born.
Drawing from a rich background in fashion, Katharina’s professional career in Visual Merchandising for high-end and luxury sectors honed her creativity and refined her sense of style. My name is Katharina but my friends call me Kat or Kata. I start every day with a 1.5-hour outing to the park with Léon.
I have a chocolate and diet coke obsession and can enjoy the same meal repeatedly for a week, with pizzas and Mexican cuisine being my top picks. I detest mushrooms and claim to be allergic at restaurants to ensure they’re not on my plate.
I require at least 9 hours of sleep per night (even though my nights are short since I got Léon and lauched Le Pull).
My favorite colors are grey and navy blue (surprising, isn’t it?). I rarely wear the pieces I knit— not because I don’t like them, but because I spend most of my time at home in lounge wear.
For ten years, every day I’ve been telling myself, “Tomorrow I’ll sign up for the gym,” but it never happens.
I despise weaving in ends, so I knot yarns together whenever possible.
My wardrobe mainly consists of vintage jeans and sweatshirts. Although I have a vast collection of shoes, I tend to stick to the same pairs.
I find myself revisiting Harry Potter four times a year, and Radiohead is my favorite band.
